Gary Husler

Gary has been an educator, trainer, programme developer, and project lead in Malaysia for the past 13 years. Gary has a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (TESOL) from Northumbria University. He started out as an English Language teacher and soft skills business trainer for the British Council back in 2007.

After a successful 3-year stint, he moved into teacher training working on the national project entitled the “Native Speaker Programme”, which was tasked to upskill English language teachers across the nation.

At the same time, he worked as a Director of Training overseeing business and soft skills training for Mango Training Sdn. Bhd. before moving on to INTI International University where he headed up the Academic English department. More recently, Gary has been designing, developing, and delivering educator upskilling programmes and corporate training programmes. Among these are Negotiation Skills, Influence, Strategic Visioning, Strategic Planning, Assessment for Learning, Coaching Conversations, Empowered Counselling, and many pedagogy programmes.

In his former role as Head of the LeapEd Academy, Gary was responsible for overseeing LeapEd’s coaching initiatives and undertook the ICF coaching accreditation. He has also completed the Certificate in Human Capital Investment and has recently completed the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.
